On the morning of the 2009 trinumeral (and my first blog post), I will start by saying that fall is most certainly in the air. The same things remind me every year me why it’s the ultimate 3-4 month spread. Sure, there are the typical; leaves falling, football 24/7, etc…but there’s something just super special about the music there is to be heard (and played).
Widespread Panic and temperate fall weather are synonymous. Since first discovering how special the relationship truly is between one and the other, it has been for lack of a better word, impossible to go between the months of September and November with out seeing these guys. Title track off the soundtrack for The Harder They Come, written by reggae great Jimmy Cliff was FTP by the boys in their home away from home…New Orleans during the cherished Halloween of 2001. Between Schools’ “Other One” teases to many Panic original debuts, fans of the band old and young know this as the cream of the crop.
